partnership.

A brief history
Founded in the mid 60’s the Wem Chamber was originally a Chamber of Trade primarily serving the shopkeepers in the town. The focus changed over the years and it was renamed the Chamber of Commerce in the 80’s to reflect the fact that it was by then representing the service sector and manufacturing sectors as well as the shopkeepers.

The Chamber aims to:
- Promote Trade
- Develop the business interests of its members by providing support and networking opportunities
- Represent our members effectively and help deliver a range of business support services
- Provide representation on and co-operate with the local Member of Parliament and various public bodies to help improve our society
